We are delighted to welcome Brian Neff to the Sing for Hope staff as our new Chief Operating Officer!

Brian is no stranger to Sing for Hope, having served as a proud member of our Volunteer Artist Roster since 2010. A pianist and tenor who performs and teaches widely (including serving as Assistant Musical Director of the NYCHA Youth Chorus from 2010—2013), he shares our passion for giving back through the arts. ,As a Volunteer Artist with Sing for Hope, I have seen up close the exceptional power of the arts to uplift the human spirit and transform lives, Brian says. ,Too many communities in New York City–the cultural capital of the world–lack access to quality arts programming.

Brian™s past experience has prepared him well for his new role. From 2011 —13, he served as founding U.S. Chief Executive of Peace Direct, which funds and promotes the work of local peacebuilders in conflict zones. Through his own philanthropic consulting firm Global Humanitarian Advisors, he has worked with an array of other nonprofits and media companies across the world, in addition to serving in various roles with the International Center for Transitional Justice and the United Nations Mission in Sudan. He began his career as a broadcast journalist at ABC News and CNBC, writing and producing for Barbara Walters, Cynthia McFadden, Tina Brown, and others.

This record of philanthropy and leadership makes Brian a perfect addition to the Sing for Hope team. And with just one recital to go before receiving his Master of Music from NYU, we™re sure that his voice and talents will fit right in!

,Sing for Hope is the quintessential catalyst for arts activism, connecting tremendous talent with tremendous need, says Brian. I am thrilled at this opportunity to build on the inspired vision of Camille and Monica, the visionary leadership of the Sing for Hope Board, and the tireless service of our dedicated staff and volunteers.”

Welcome, Brian–we’re thrilled to have you on board!
