Dear Friends,
We are delighted to share our Sing for Hope FY2023 Annual Report, which gives an overview of all that you make possible through your ongoing support of our work. Thanks to your generosity, Sing for Hope’s programs have continued to bring healing and connection to millions of people in healthcare facilities, schools, refugee camps, transit hubs, and community spaces worldwide.
Over the past year, Sing for Hope has provided transformational arts programming that delivers:
Creative access: Our multi-modal Sing for Hope Pianos act as creative hotspots that bring communities to life, revitalizing and connecting individuals and communities across differences and divides.
Education & advocacy: Our Sing for Hope Lab, Youth Chorus, and Sustainable Development Goals Arts Curriculum fill the void in arts education for at-risk youth with daily arts classes and creative service learning in partnership with The United Nations.
Public health & wellbeing: Our programming inspires and uplifts thousands of people each day at NYC’s Moynihan Train Hall, Washington D.C.’s Union Station, Newark Liberty International Airport, Port Authority Bus Terminal, sites serving older adults in partnership with NYC Department for the Aging, Maimonides Health, NYC Health + Hospitals, and more.
Migration integration: Our Creative Hope for Refugees program serves nine European cities with therapeutic arts workshops, collaborative performances, and co-created Sing for Hope Pianos that welcome, engage, and comfort refugee youth and families.
Sing for Hope sparks creativity, innovation, and wellbeing where needed most. Our programs are at once global and hyperlocal, community-focused yet profoundly individual. In a world of algorithmically generated echo chambers and seemingly intractable divides, Sing for Hope (re)connects us in ways that feel deeply human, spontaneous, and necessary.
None of this happens without you. Your generosity is life-changing for Sing for Hope and the communities we serve. On behalf of the individuals and communities we serve, we offer our heartfelt thanks for your support.
With gratitude and determined hope,
Monica Yunus and Camille Zamora
