Artist Statement: Using very harmonious colors this piano will bring forth an inviting feeling to anyone who crosses its path. The colors align with the feeling of synesthesia. Bring some of the main colors you see when you close your eyes. The players will experience the true connection between music and art.
Jay Bordeaux is an artist from Richmond, VA that through his internal and external hardships has been able to turn it into the most beautiful pieces of artwork. First beginning in 2015. Jay endured a year of paying his dues by doing over 60 art shows and completing several murals. During this time his Grandmother was currently in her last years due to breast cancer and his father facing a similar foe by being diagnosed in 2016 the following year. Jay became his fathers caregiver two years after that, while creating one of his main artists series. “ Magenta “ which was a response in art therapy to get him through his tough moments. Over the years. Jay has sold work in the VMFA, traveled the east coast with his work from New York City all the way to Miami during Art Basel. Shown in 100+ shows and has created 3 solo gallery exhibitions for himself. ( Jade , Magenta, Indigo ) Always here for the ride and taking strides towards change.
