Artist Statement:
The Sing for Hope Youth Chorus is a performance-based service learning program that strives to nurture a love of music, foster a safe community for self-expression, and encourage members to reach their full potential for artistic and personal excellence. Chorus members receive vocal training while developing skills in performance, sight-singing, and music theory. In addition to offering music instruction, Youth Chorus rehearsals emphasize inclusiveness, collaboration, and community service as agents of individual growth. The ensemble also has the opportunity to participate in master classes led by Sing for Hope Volunteer Artists and perform at various events and community partner sites as ambassadors of Sing for Hope.
