Shanice Figeroux is a visual and performing artist from Queens, NYC, with a strong background in community-centered programming. She has collaborated with nonprofits, research institutes, city agencies, and cultural organizations to develop impactful initiatives supporting women, children, and communities of color. Through her work with the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs’ Public Artist in Residence programs—partnering with organizations such as ArtBridge, the Jamaica BID, and STREETLAB—she has led projects across community centers and healthcare institutions, including Cohens and Montefiore Children’s Hospitals. Her artistic practice focuses on community engagement and mental wellness, using accessible, art-based healing initiatives that empower communities to co-create meaningful change.
