Artist Statement: Inspired by the diverse creatures that roam New York City—pigeons, squirrels, rats, cats, raccoons, opossums, and more—I created this piece to capture their journeys across the city, mirroring our own. It’s a love letter to everyone who calls NYC home, a reminder that, despite our differences, we all navigate this world together. We share the same streets, the same challenges, and ultimately, the same strength. I hope to celebrate the unity that binds us all, human or animal, and emphasize the power of community in this vibrant city we all share.
