Artist Statement: This design is in honor of my nephew who passed away on 2/14/24. He was a born and bred New Yorker, and relished helping strangers in his daily life. He would always assist a weary traveller carry a heavy cart up or down a flight of stairs, alert a pedestrian that they dropped a wallet or keys, or hold a door open for an elderly person. He was quick with a compliment and a warm smile. He lived his brief life spreading love through small acts of kindness. His kindness was his super power. And though he may not be with us physically, the ripple effect of his life will be felt forever.
