Lovie Pignata

Lovie Pignata is a Bronx based artist who is recognized as resourceful in activating public spaces with site relevant themes in interactive installations. She incorporates local history, culture, wildlife and nature along with the impractical or whimsical elements. Lovie works in a variety of mediums to achieve the desired end result for her work. Adapting to new materials and sharing the experience is often part of her process. Her work often includes hidden clues and imagery only a local resident may know but a visitor’s interest may be piqued. Lovie creates a sense of space whether she is working in two or three dimensions.
