Artist Statement: Being an avid scuba diver, the emphasis of her design is on form, shape, texture, movement and color - reflecting the surprising and dramatic influence of the undersea world. Following forms of corals, brilliant colors of tropical fish and undulating sandbars are transformed into objects of glass and metal.

Izabel Lam is a well known designer first in the field of fashion during the 70s and 80s - working with design greats like Calvin Klein and Geoffrey Beene, before launching her own designer, ready-to-wear collection. From the beginning of the 90s, recognizing the importance of home, she has concentrated her efforts on jewelry design and home accessories - marketing to the retail sector in the USA, Europe and Japan.
