Artist Statement: It´s about the joyful Mexican concept of dead, the ¨calaveras¨are in an eternal party, they are playing music New Orleans style like in a Brass Band, so mixing the celebration mood of Mexico and New Orleans, the colors are very mexican as well , like the ones used by Oaxaca painters, but in some way similar to the colors used on the New Orleans traditional houses. This is of course a sketch, a little limited to a more complete design, and since the size and form of the pianos could be different from the template, I can assure that the final result in the piano will be much better than this sketch.
