Artist Statement: "We are all living difficult situations, a difficult time in general with many big challenges worldwide, but also challenges much closer to us personally. If for the former we may feel incapable to make a change, for the latter we could change our atttude toward those challenges and make a positive impact. I believe ""Solidarity"" is the strongest force we can apply to make that impact. It's solidarity toward everyone we get in contact with who needs some help. It's difficult to help people who live far away, or in another continent, but it's definitely possible to help people who are next to us. I believe in the ""chain of kindness"" , a ripple effect of one act of kindness that can be multiplied tenths, hundreads, thousands of times. Solidarity doesn't cause the rise of stress, and it doesn't bring stress, but it rises of and brings joy. In realizing my piano I planned to use symbols of 'chains among human beings"" , offering of water as a metaphor of offering of life, suffering and joy but despite everything with colors that represent a happy atmosphere.... "I was born in Modena, Italy. After scientific studies at the local lycée, he moved to Pisa where he earned a Masters Degree in Computer Science. In 1995, I moved to Laguna Beach, California, to study at University of California Irvine, and subsequently to work as a network engineer for an nationwide Internet Service Provider (ISP). In 2004 I started to study art in Laguna Beach, privately with maestro Javier Alvarez Palomar, and in 2005 art became my main interest making me decide to put aside my engineer's career. In 2010 I moved to NYC and studied at the Art Student League until 2013 with several instructors and experimenting different artistic idioms. In 2013 I participated at the Sing for Hope Piano Operation for the first time. In July 2013 I moved back to Laguna Beach and I participated in several exhibitions and I got representation by the Laguna Gallery of contemporary Art (LGOCA) in Laguna Beach. I like to create artworks using materials with different textures , making assemblages with a a sculptural feeling, reminiscent of bas-relief. I am also interested to work with jazz musicians and contemporary dancers while they are performing trying to render on a static media the sensations of their actions, the dynamic (and acoustic) atmosphere they create.
