Artist Statement: "This project, or even just one Sing For Hope Piano in a park, at its home in a classroom, or in a community center, has the potential to change the course of a life. Subsequently, that life could transform a community, a country, or the world. I understand such a statement seeming like a farfetched idea, but I would ask then what is hope? These pianos aren’t just visual spectacles or instruments. They are invitations to come “play” and participate in the tremendous ideas and discovery that are inspired by the arts. The bubbles could be thought to represent those ideas, or the people that have them. The bubbles are the songs they write, their paintings and pianos, each slightly different, unique but connected, bouncing around sending each other in new directions. My goal with the “Bubbles” piano is to stir imaginations, encouraging those who come across it to engage in the infinite possibilities of sharing their art and experiences with others. "
