Artist Statement: My piano will be inspired by my memories of the 1950s, 60s, and '70s science fiction comic book art I grew up loving, with my own personal twist. Basically, I want to cover the instrument with rockets, flying saucers, aliens, tentacles, astronauts, robots, and outer space. My hope is to inspire a sense of the wonder of the universe ("What might be out there?"), and perhaps spark an interest in science and space exploration in some child or child-at-heart along the way.
Tim Farley earned a degree in Fine Art with a minor in Acting from SUNY Albany, then chose to pursue a career as an actor. During his years as a working actor, visual art remained an important part of my life. Now he is a full time stay-at-home dad. He makes time, however, to draw, write, and paint. He’s painted several large-scale murals, had work in three group shows, written and drawn a science fiction comic, and is working on a children's picture book, among other projects. Tim has taught both art and acting to children and high school students.
