Artist Statement: "I chose to paint silhouettes of dancing peoples, all ages, all styles, to represent the universal effect music has on us. The gold background gives the piano a jewel-like appeal, shine that attracts the eye. In my research of finding and outlining those silhouettes I have learned about dance (or its visual representation) and I hope whoever visits the piano will be challenged to point out the different styles and enjoy the visual ""quiz"" the way I did. "
