Artist Statement: The design uses lines, shapes and colors to transform the appearance of a piano into one of great intrigue, pleasing aesthetic, and whimsical fun, with contrasting widths of line to create depth, overlapping shapes, and bright colors to make it pop and grab attention from far away. The closer you get, the more you will be able to observe detailed patterns of different forms. My artwork tends to have abstract elements of nature, symbology, and my own life, and I wanted to create something that will make people really take the time to investigate and think, “what am I looking at?”—a deceptively simple design that rewards the keen observer.
