Artist Statement: "If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?" — Lewis Carroll
Bridget graduated from Wisconsin's Northland College, with a Bachelor of Science, in Art Education. She is currently the K-12 Visual Arts Instructor in the Wakefield-Marenisco School District, where she teaches K-12 Art, Graphic Arts, and Ceramics. Bridget loves the variety and is deeply inspired by her students. According to Bridget, [she] "gets to create and hangout with young creative minds each day." As a Midwest native, Bridget has always had a love of nature. She is fascinated with how light dances off people and things. For as long as she can recall, she has had an inherent desire to create. She works in all mediums from pencil to paint and her interests are as varied as her array of subject matter, from realism to the abstract. However, she particularly enjoys pencil portraits. Bridget is also an avid dancer, runner, and community theater actress. She is constantly looking to live in better harmony with nature and with the world.
