Artist Statement: Even if you've never made a genuine mixtape cassette, chances are you've at the very least compiled a playlist. Perhaps you intended to take a particular person on a specific ride through their headphones or maybe you put together the perfect list for a great party or workout. Whatever the compilation is for, a good mixtape blends different styles, genres, and influences to create a cohesive expression. In a similar way, the Pianos project is a "mixtape" for the community. This piano design is a fun nod to a past era and with its street art texture and 90's flare it will be a bright invitation to join the effort to create art for all.
