Artist Statement: The Nature images of plant life and birds are brightly colored with contrasting colors. The images and colors are intended to add beauty to the piano and uplift the spirit of the viewing and listening audience. The design should be seen as a vehicle to inspire the imagination, the singing birds representing music as a way to inspire hope.
Noël Copeland was born in Jamaica West Indies. He studied at the Jamaica School of Art, Kingston. He continued his Art education at Pratt Institute of Art and Design, Brooklyn, New York. Copeland graduated with a MFA, with Honors, in Ceramics and Sculpture. He has exhibited his work nationally and internationally and has received several commissions and awards. He is presently living and working in New York.
