Artist Statement: As the time and clocks have been used as a subject and elements in art for centuries, I did not reinvent a wheel. But as I find the clocks and clocks’ faces beautiful and very decorative, I just used them as ornaments. I chose Gold Leaf as a technique, so it’s just wood and gold which creates a clean, nice contrast. Making the design, I realized that there are thousands of clocks on the streets of Manhattan alone.
