Artist Statement: This piano was created by the Broadway Casts of Cats, Phantom of the Opera, and School of Rock, in honor of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Legendary composer ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER is currently celebrating four hit musicals playing simultaneously on Broadway, including Sunset Boulevard at the Palace Theatre, School of Rock at the Winter Garden Theatre, CATS at the Neil Simon Theatre, and The Phantom of the Opera at the Majestic Theatre. Lloyd Webber joins Rodgers and Hammerstein as the only composers in Broadway history to achieve this milestone. In celebration, the casts of School of Rock, CATS and The Phantom of the Opera have joined together to create a piano in Lloyd Webber’s honor!
