Artist Statement: I painted this piano while referencing existing elements of cartoon illustrations. What I describe as abstract linear gestures should feel visually familiar to some. It is composed of parts of feet, heads, arms, hands, and mouths – all falling into place like a living animation. A playful and light hearted piece, it is ready to dance, walk, and run down the street with every song.
